Titling and Boundary Management
  • Initiate and ensure the surveying and titling of all Government land.
  • Open and maintain boundaries of Government land parcels in order to prevent encroachment.
  • Encourage and guide Ministries, Departments and Agencies to demarcate and fence off their land in accordance with applicable regulations.
Protection of Government Land
  • Safeguard Government land from unauthorized use, encroachment, and fraudulent transactions.
  • Enforce compliance with lease conditions, regulations, and guidelines governing the use of public land.
Government Land Inventory Management
  • Identify, compile, update, and maintain a central inventory of all Government land and developments thereon.
Monitoring and Compliance Enforcement
  • Monitor the use and development of Government land through planned quarterly inspections.
  • Conduct inspection visits prior to the renewal of leases to ensure compliance with lease terms and development conditions.
  • Report violations, advise on corrective measures, and recommend appropriate sanctions where necessary.
Lease Administration and Revenue Enhancement
  • Manage the allocation, renewal, extension, and surrender of leases on Government land.
  • Support the collection of premiums, ground rent, and other Non-Tax Revenue through effective lease enforcement.
Land Claimants Verification
  • Verify, process, and manage claims under the Land Fund in accordance with the Constitution and the Land Act.
  • Facilitate lawful compensation of absentee landlords, lawful occupants, bona fide occupants, and other eligible beneficiaries.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advisory Services
  • Collaborate with Ministries, Departments and Agencies, local governments, and communities to ensure the sustainable and lawful use of Government land.
  • Provide technical guidance on land administration, titling, Land Fund operations, and dispute resolution.
